Australian converter acknowledged at print awards

Sydney, Australia-based converter Impresstik won two major prizes at the recent NSW Print Excellence Awards: the Business Excellence Award for ‘Innovation in Business’, and a Silver Print Excellence Award in the label category for the Pirramimma ‘Pirra’ Grenache Shiraz label.
‘Impresstik continually strives to ensure optimal performance delivery at all stages of the labeling process. Our staff takes pride in their capacity to offer peak quality, cost effective solutions that exceed customer expectations,’ said managing director Werner Mokesch.
The Silver Award for the ‘Pirra’ label highlights the power of print excellence. Designed by Barbara Harkness of Just Add Wine, the label displays both excellent shelf ‘stand-out’ appeal and tactility.
‘The Pirra brand tier has enjoyed strong growth in the highly competitive Australian wine sector. And we recognize that label integrity and quality is critical to both its successful positioning and penetration,’ commented Pirramimma proprietor, Geoff Johnston, who has been an Impresstik client since 2003.
Earlier this year, Impresstik won Gold at the 25th National Print Awards for the newly rebranded Blue Pyrenees Sparkling portfolio label suite. Designed by Stephanie Martin Design, the highly embellished label has been applied to six individual Blue Pyrenees prestige sparkling wine products.
Impresstik Systems, the company’s applicator division, is also recognized as a pioneer of wine labeling equipment solutions. In-house engineers recently designed and introduced the Webmaster 2100, a fully automated, non-stop, self-adhesive labeling station intended for integration into both high-speed rotary or in-line installations. Its twin-roll feed allows for uninterrupted interchange and waste ejection, minimizing downtime to provide peak efficiency production capacity.
