Company has also appointed new business director in this region, Alexander Rabassa, who will work next to Ramon Xifra, Comexi’s vice president.

‘By opening an office in this country, we will be closer to our customers and able to provide them with an even higher standard of service,’ said Xifra. The new office in Russia will cover all CIS markets, Lithuania and Latvia, providing sales assistance, immediate, faster and closer logistic support and spare parts service. ‘Establishing this new office and incrementing our presence in Russia is a significant step for Comexi, which will lead to further expansion in the region,’ he said.

This new accomplishment has been made with the support of the Eurosale group that has experience in the printing and converting sector. Comexi has, for many years, counted on the support of its collaborators in the area with Converplas, Tusson and the recent new agency in Lithuania and Latvia driven by Ronaldas Vaitekunas. Company will continue implementing its strategy across Russia and CIS countries, and from now on Eurosale Group will also become part of the Comexi team in Russia providing logistical support and spare parts assistance to Comexi customers in Russia.

Olga Malykhina from EuroSale, said, ‘EuroSale has been in the field of spare parts delivery in Russia for over eight years. Together, we offer the full range of door-to-door shipments, which feature delivery of spare parts to our customer’s warehouse with no need to worry about the paperwork because the delivery includes all the tax and custom clearance. There are regular freights every week, so speed is guaranteed, and deliveries marked urgent will be at the customer’s door within three to five days. We also guarantee the parts as being Comexi originals since we will be stocking original Comexi spare parts in our Moscow warehouses.’

Comexi offers immediate technical assistance, 24 hours a day providing a wide range of maintenance programs, machine conditions analysis, audits, new remote support with augmented reality glasses and, also, spare parts service through Eurosale Group partnership.

Another goal in this expansion is to offer trainings, in-house formations and technical seminars that the group, through its Manel Xifra Boada Technological Centre, Comexi CTec, offers in this area. In the near future, the company will have a technological centre with machines where demonstrations and training in flexible packaging processes such as printing, lamination or slitting will be offered.

Currently Comexi Ctec houses machinery of the latest technology that has allowed the company to reach a large number of attendees to specialized training. More than 1500 students graduated in 66 editions of advanced training sessions and technical courses, conducted in different languages, of which 8 editions have been in Russian. In the annual program Comexi Ctec includes two sessions in Russian, in which it has already done advanced flexographic printing sessions, advanced lamination sessions, colour technical seminar, print defect solution course, and maintenance workshop, with the participation of 115 attendees from the area of Russia, Ukraine, Lithuania, Latvia and Belarus.

Comexi has had a growth of 15 percent in the last two years in the Russian area.
