Aleithe Haftetiketten installs HP Indigo press ws4500

Aleithe Haftetiketten, of Wittenburg, Germany, has installed its first digital press, an HP Indigo ws4500, to enable the production of short-run, fast turnaround labels. Established in 1992, the company employs more than fifty people and prints a wide variety of labels in short to medium run lengths using a range of printing technologies: offset litho, flexo, screen, thermotransfer and now digital. The company can also to provide a range of enhancements including hot and cold foil stamping, embossing, and coating for scratch cards.

The addition of the ws4500 capability means that the company can now provide short-runs with variable data printing on a full range of self-adhesive substrates. Aletithe Haftetiketten serves a wide range of customers, printing labels for food and wine, pharmaceutical, technical, and cosmetics applications.

‘Our customers have high expectations,’ said Bernd Aleithe, managing director, Aleithe Haftetiketten, ‘yet we see falling run lengths, frequent design changes, special colors and requests for personalization, all of which can be printed by our new HP Indigo press ws4500, complementing our other presses and utilizing our exiting finishing equipment.’
