Nobelus launches flexible packaging film line
The line includes eight print web films, three of which are entirely new to the European market.

Nobelus, a finishing technology supplier serving the global label and packaging market, is releasing a line of premium wet films designed specifically for flexible packaging. Of the eight print web films in the collection, five are resized versions of the company’s familiar luxury label films, while three are entirely new to the European market. These specialty films have no adhesive layer, making them compatible with solvent-less and solvent-based adhesives applied on flexographic presses or wet laminating systems.
Jeremy Fentiman, managing director of Nobelus Europe, said: 'This new line of films directly addresses the needs of the flexible packaging market by giving conventional converters more finishing options than before. We are offering a diverse variety of finishes to fit nearly any market or product type.'
Converters can find crystal-clear gloss and non-reflective matte options with the company’s Platinum OPP Films or select a plastic-free alternative in EcoElement CLS Films, which support compostable packaging structures. These essential finishes help protect ink and elevate packaging designs regardless of the application or market.
The collection also includes two versions of the Karess soft-touch finish: a PET version for durable stand-up pouches and an OPP film suitable for sachets, stick packs and many other formats. For enhanced damage resistance, converters can choose between the sandpaper-textured FineGrit Film and the scratch-resistant ScuffProof Film, both of which are manufactured with high durability to protect ink and ensure the finish does not rub off with regular use.
Each film in the Nobelus flexible packaging portfolio is designed to make packaging stand out in competitive markets by forming an immediate connection with consumers through sight, texture or increased perceived value. These print web films can be combined with graphics and embellishments.
All films in the Nobelus flexible packaging portfolio are available at low minimum order quantities and short lead times to ensure converters have access to print web films in the volumes and timeframes that best support their business. Nobelus offers consultation services for flexible packaging converters who want to learn more about food safety, application engineering, workflow optimization and other topics crucial to long-term growth in the flexible packaging market.
