MPS adds agent in the Philippines

MPS has named Interworld Cre as its agent in the Philippines, becoming the second agent appointment since the opening of the local MPS Systems Asia office in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

The appointment of Interworld Cre as the MPS agent in the Philippines is seen by the Dutch printing equipment manufacturer as another move in its strategy to expand local presence in Asia.

Established in 2007, Interworld Cre is a supplier within the graphic art industry in the Philippines. Interworld Cre represents several industry suppliers with a product portfolio including anilox rolls, pressroom chemicals, sheet-fed die-cutting equipment, die-cutting consumables, steel rule dies and finishing systems. Interworld Cre is now locally representing MPS flexo, offset and hybrid press technology for label and packaging printers in the Philippines, following the recent appointment of Chimeng Packaging as the local MPS agent in Taiwan.

The appointment of Interworld Cre is seen by the Dutch printing equipment manufacturer as another move in its strategy to expand local presence in Asia.

George Tan, MPS area sales manager, said: ‘With many years’ experience selling flexo auxiliary equipment in the narrow and wide web industry, Interwork Cre is well connected and has built strong partnerships with many reputable printers. With a population of over 106 million people, and one of the fastest-growing economies in Southeast Asia, the Philippines is a key territory for MPS. With Interworld Cre on board, we are in an ideal position to locally service and support label and packaging printers and increase MPS presence in this exciting region.’

Other recent developments in Asia since the opening of the local MPS office in Malaysia include the appointment of Julius Urbano as regional service engineer and Suwannee Tantisrisuk as area sales manager for Thailand and Southeast Asia.
