B2Pack installs Europe’s first HP Indigo 30000 with in-line corona treater

Spanish packaging specialist B2Pack has installed the first HP Indigo 30000 digital press in Europe configured with an in-line corona treatment unit.

Spain's B2Pack is a long-term HP Indigo digital press user

With this unit, the new press will enable the company to print on an entirely new range of substrates including metallized materials and plastics, allowing it to offer an extended range of services to existing customers, as well as attract new ones. As such, the in-line corona on B2Pack’s HP Indigo 30000 is set to transform the company’s print offering, facilitating printing on to high-margin substrates including metallized boards, synthetic media up to 25pt (including PVC, clear PET and PP) and dark substrates. With these new capabilities, B2Pack will be able to produce almost any box, sleeve or blister application in offset quality, broadening its print offering.

With over 75 years of experience in the graphic arts industry, and over 40 years in the packaging sector, B2Pack has long embraced digital printing technology, investing in its first HP Indigo digital press over a decade ago. Since this time, the company has continued to grow, with customer demand increasing every day. The latest installation took place at the company’s production facility in Getafe, Madrid, earlier this year.

‘At B2Pack, we are always striving to run a business that realizes the great ideas of our customers,’ commented Nacho Manero, CEO of B2Pack. ‘For this reason, we have added the first HP Indigo 30000 with corona treatment in Europe.

‘We can now offer our customers all kinds of packaging solutions, including cardboard and plastic, fulfill shorter and more frequent runs, and provide product diversification within individual orders, whilst maintaining the exceptional quality our customers demand.

‘Combined with our extensive experience, the new addition to our HP Indigo portfolio provides us with an invaluable competitive edge.’
