Comexi sells slitters into Pakistan

Comexi has strengthened its strategic alliance with Universal Packaging and International Packaging with the sale of four slitters, including the first Comexi Laser in the country.

This new acquisition will allow the Pakistan-based sister companies, mostly dedicated to flexible packaging and production of BOPP, to increase their product portfolio, performance and application offer in packaging.

Fran Perez, Comexi area manager in this region, said: ‘Comexi Laser is a ground-breaking technology that will allow Universal Packaging to make new trendy applications and innovative solutions such as easy open, windows and micro perforations in order to go one step further, expanding their product portfolio.

‘The capability of these companies covers an increasingly wide range of printing and converting applications and this new equipment means a competitive edge for them. We are really satisfied to be able to assist them in introducing new products and systems into the industry and the market of this country. In the last two years sales of Comexi slitters have increased two-fold in Pakistan and the Middle East.’

Comexi chief commercial officer Jordi Gorchs continued: ‘These latest acquisitions strength Comexi’s current wide presence in this country and the whole of the Middle East. and reinforce our confidence to continue our expansion and future growth.’
