Letra Graphix gets India’s first Sun Omnia from Prati

Italian manufacturer Prati, along with its Indian agent Royal Coat, has installed the country’s first Sun Omnia in-mold label finishing machine at Letra Graphix, Ahmedabad.

L to R: Neerav Shah, director, Letra Graphix; Chiara Prati, sales and marketing manager at Prati and Sunil Talpade, proprietor of Royal Coat with the new Sun Omnia IML finishing machine installed at Letra Graphix

Sunil Talpade, proprietor of Royal Coat, said: ‘It is a highly configured machine capable of finishing clear-on-clear labels, in-mold labels and flexible packaging. Indian printers are getting quality conscious and investing in advanced technology to prepare for the growing label market in India. I am happy with the installation and gearing up to close more orders in the pipeline.’

Sun Omnia is a multiuse finishing machine that can be equipped with various features depending on market needs. It offers flexibility in a compact and modular platform for self-adhesive labels, clear-on-clear labels, cardboards, in-mold labels and flexible packaging. Suited to handling short runs, stacking different shaped wet-glue labels or in-mold labels, it is an automated machine with a short web path and ‘intuitive’ HMI control, according to Prati.

Letra Graphix houses several Prati finishing machines including a booklet machine, slitter rewinders and now the IML finishing machine.
