The combination of MPS printing and converting technology and Domino’s N610i 7-color digital UV inkjet label press will allow Meyers to deliver a much larger variety of premium print treatments at lower costs to its customer, and offers Meyers extreme flexibility and very short turnaround times.

Meyers’ decision to purchase the MPS EF Symjet was driven by the company’s desire to advance its digital offering, as explained by Gregg Temple, president of Meyers Label and Card Groups.

‘The addition of the hybrid MPS press to our operation has provided the biggest positive impact on our business that we have seen in the last 10 years. Historically, MPS process stability coupled with operator-friendly innovations has had a major impact on our productivity and delivered the lowest defect percentages in the history of the company.’

MPS expects strong growth in the hybrid market as the need increases to bridge the gap between digital and flexographic printing.

Kees Nijenhuis, vice president of MPS Systems North America, added: ‘Meyers and MPS have been close partners for a number of years. Our tenure made Meyers a great fit as the launching customer of our EF Symjet hybrid press in the North American Market.

‘We are very excited to take the next step in our successful partnership.’
