Nobelus installs Catbridge Film Slitter at Illinois facility
Finishing solutions supplier, Nobelus, has added new equipment to its fleet with a high-capacity slitter.
Nobelus, a film and laminate supplier for the general commercial print, flexible packaging, and prime label industries, has added a new high-volume slitter to its equipment lineup.
The Catbridge 900 Duplex Slitter has been installed in the company's Elgin, IL, facility and is a high-speed unit that reflects the film supplier's continued growth and focus on efficiency.
Catbridge, which recently celebrated its quarter-century anniversary, is well known in the material conversion space for its state-of-the-art machinery and engineering innovations.
The 900 Duplex is an automated slitting machine that accepts film web widths up to 84 inches and has a top run speed of 2,500 feet per minute, which will play a crucial role in maximizing productivity as the company expands its reach across a range of markets.
Brian Fleisher, chief operating officer at Nobelus, said: 'The Catbridge 900 Duplex will allow us to significantly increase our production capabilities and handle larger, heavier rolls so we can deliver the products our customers need promptly.
'This is a major investment that perfectly aligns with our commitment to providing top-tier customer service for every film order.'
Nobelus hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony to christen the Catbridge 900 Duplex on Friday, January 30. Leadership anticipates that the machine will immediately benefit consumables customers by enabling shorter lead times, tighter turnarounds, and greater product availability.
