The addition of a further ALE multi-beam laser, which is due to be completed towards the end of the year, follows a period of investment focused on upgrading the capabilities of its European plant. This itself is part of a five-year strategic growth plan.

During 2012, Pamarco added capacity in grinding, lapping and polishing, while 2013 saw a major upgrade program for its ceramic coating facility, adding the latest, most efficient Sulzer plasma spray equipment to ensure high-quality coatings. A further upgrade to a second Sulzer coating line will be completed in the third quarter of 2014.

2013 also saw the upgrade of MicroDynamics volume measurement systems.

Pamarco said the addition of a further ALE multi-beam laser will meet the demands of its OEM and converter customers for ever-improving service times.

Nick Walker, general manager of Pamarco Europe, said: ‘Quality, consistency and service are our drivers and all these investments are key to achieving these efficiently, ensuring Pamarco quality is available at competitive pricing.’
