RK Print sells VCML Pilot Coater to Tokyo Cellolabel

Cellolabel will use the unit for R&D for optical film coating and pressure-sensitive adhesive coating, among other applications. 

Having seen an increase in interest for its reel-to-reel Pilot line in Asia, RK Print plans to install a system at its distributor’s demonstration lab in Japan. This unit will be on display at Neo Functional Material show in Japan on January 30 to February 1, 2019. It will be available for trials in the fields of gravure, flexo, reverse gravure, meter bar coating, knife over roll, comma bar, micro gravure and slot die. 

‘Installing a demonstration unit in Japan gives RK a fantastic opportunity to showcase the capabilities of our pilot line to new customers within Asia,’ saidDarren Ellis, RK Print’s project manager. It is expected that the unit will be available for trials from spring 2019. 

RK PrintCoat Instruments, based in the UK, designs and manufactures pilot printing/coating technology and color communication devices. These systems can be used for quality control purposes; for determining process/product feasibility as well as commercial viability; and for the small-scale production of complex materials and products.
