Nordic Label adds digital value for brands with Xeikon ‘Track and Trace’
Finnish label provider Nordic Label Oy is attracting new business and widening its product portfolio with Xeikon smart label technology ‘Track and Trace.’

‘As a leading label manufacturer in Finland with many years of experience in all kinds of printing methods, digital printing is fairly new to us and we have been on a learning curve,’ explained Marko Rintanen, production director at Nordic Label. ‘However, since we partnered with Xeikon we’ve seen our business leap forward in new and very exciting ways. Xeikon’s smart label solution is ground-breaking and so easy to install and utilize. With Xeikon’s Track and Trace, every package and label is given its own digital identity by means of a unique image, text, number or bar code. The latest version 7.0 of Xeikon’s X-800 workflow enables the integration of the unique information and the printing of a high security, variable printed code. The Xeikon press automatically and securely prints the unique code, which can be scanned with any standard application.
‘Globally there is rapidly increasing demand from brand owners for smart labels,’ said Jeroen Van Bauwel, director product management at Xeikon. ‘Fighting to stand out from the competition, enlightened brand owners are using smart labels to differentiate themselves and protect their brand.
