Atlas implements group-wide ERP system

Atlas Converting Equipment has implemented a group-wide enterprise resource planning (ERP) system to provide a new and common platform from which the company can better serve its international customer base.

Atlas and Titan sales managers receive training on the new ERP-CRM system

The new system provides a single source of data for all areas of the business which will help to improve the process of management and control of engineering changes. A new customer relationship management (CRM) system is also included to streamline the preparation and delivery of customer quotations and sales contracts.

The aim of the project was to provide a world class integrated ERP platform, the company said, which will enable it to 'continually exceed customers’ expectations'.

Delivered by Swedish supplier IFS Applications, the new ERP system will embrace the company’s operations in the UK, North America, India and China.

Steve Darlington, Atlas Converting Equipment chairman, said: ‘This has been a huge but essential change management project for the company to undertake and not merely to replace existing IT systems. It has involved a significant financial investment but has also taken more than 12 months of preparation, hard work and dedication by our internal project team, to whom we owe a sincere vote of thanks.’
