The Domino N610i, with a 13in (333mm) print width, up to seven colours including opaque white, 600dpi ‘native’ print resolution and operating speeds up to 246ft/min (75m/min), is designed to combine the productivity of flexo printing with the flexibility offered by rapid job change digital technology.

Color-Logic develops color communication systems and software tool sets for a variety of special effect printing applications, and utilize the existing workflows of printers and designers.

The Process Metallic Color System enables printers to consistently and reliably print CMYK process metallic colors and special effects using their existing equipment and print workflows. The Domino N610i can print on porous and non-porous paper, and foils.

Color-Logic director of sales and marketing Mark Geeves said: ‘We have certified the Color-Logic process on the equipment in the Domino Printing demonstration centers in the UK and the US. Buyers of the N610i inkjet label press can be assured that the Color-Logic process is fully compatible with the device and that they can confidently offer metallic labels featuring the process to their clients.’

Jon Pritchard, product manager at Domino Printing Sciences, added: ‘Our partnership with Color-Logic brings the latest in metallic label technology to our customers. The ability of the N610i press to print on metallic substrate, and the ease with which the Color-Logic software cuts white ink masks and permits graphic designers to specify the precise metallic color they desire, are an unbeatable combination of technology.  We expect our new hardware offering to benefit greatly from this relationship.’
