Cyber Graphics named Bellissima DMS trade shop partner in US

With long-term experience in flexo, Cyber Graphics aims to deliver predictably pain-free production of packaging graphics so ‘customers can concentrate on building their businesses and their bottom lines’.

Hamillroad Software’s Bellissima digital modulated screening (DMS) technology for flexographic screening is said to deliver a ‘previously unobtainable level of image reproduction for flexo’. It is claimed to rival the quality of print typically associated with offset and gravure, and is ‘challenging digital as the future for flexible packaging and labels’.

Kevin Bourquin, director of pre-press operations at Cyber Graphics, said: ‘Improving print quality and color consistency has always been a big focus for us. We were an early pioneer in expanded gamut (EG) technology, and we see Bellissima DMS as an opportunity to take this to the next level.

‘We’re very enthusiastic about the prospect of partnering with Aniken Graphics. Our customers count on us to provide clear expectations and predictable results which increase speed to market. The Bellissima DMS screening technology will be a powerful tool that we can use to deliver precision in what can sometimes be an imprecise industry.’

Phase one sales of Bellissima DMS includes trade shops, converters and flexographic printers currently using Apex GTT anilox rolls and sleeves together with MacDermid Graphics Solutions Lux ITP 60 or DuPont EFX plates.

Cyber Graphics is among a handful of trade shops who are involved in the phase one roll-out of Bellissima DMS. Others so far announced Include Chespa in Austria and Poland, and Carl Ostermann Erben for the German label market.
