ETI Converting Equipment has received a patent to apply self-adhesive linerless labels without any compromise on the shape of the label

The technology, developed by ETI Converting and described in this patent, allows users to dramatically reduce the waste resulting from the use of a liner in a self-adhesive label construction.

A film liner is used as a carrier to allow the die-cutting of the label. This can be reused multiple times with other linerless facestock rolls.

According to ETI Converting project managers, the liner can be reused more than 20 times.

Indian label converter Pragati Pack has been trialing the system for a year and also acts as a distributor.
