First MPS EF Symjet sale confirmed at Labelexpo Europe 2015

Germany’s Optikett has ordered the first MPS EF Symjet hybrid digital/flexo press, which was launched at Labelexpo Europe 2015.

MPS and Domino have partnered to develop the EF Symjet hybrid press platform, which combines their respective flexo and digital printing technologies. The Domino digital unit uses Kyocera printheads to print a resolution of 600 x 600 DPI, with up to six colors and opaque white. EF Symjet has a 340mm web width on the Domino printer and wider web width of 430mm on the MPS press, meaning converters can run more labels across the web when running in pure flexo mode, and at a higher speed.

MPS described Optikett as a ‘loyal customer’. It purchased an EF flexo press prior to Labelexpo Europe 2015 which was its seventh MPS press investment.

At Labelexpo Europe 2015, which has been confirmed as the show’s biggest in its 35-year history, MPS also participated in the Linerless Trail, supported the Label Academy Masterclasses which are run on the final day of the show, and featured GEW’s new ArcLED UV LED system.
