Flint Group on track for growth in global packaging market

Flint Group is now ‘very well positioned’ to support dynamic growth in the global packaging market following the completion of its acquisition of American Inks and Coatings (AIC).

Based in Pine Bluff, Arkansas, the acquisition of AIC is part of Flint Group’s long-range strategy to grow in key packaging segments around the world

Based in Pine Bluff, Arkansas, the acquisition of AIC was announced earlier this year, and detailed here, as part of Flint Group’s long-range strategy to grow in key packaging segments around the world. The move has also put Flint Group even closer to its North American packaging and converting customers.

The acquisition has now been completed, and Doug Aldred, president of Flint Group’s Packaging & Narrow Web division, stated: ‘In combining the strengths of AIC and Flint Group, we are able to provide the North American packaging market with greater product expertise and also deliver improved value and service platforms to our customers.

‘The increased knowledge and expertise obtained as a result of this acquisition will only further enhance Flint Group’s global potential as we continue to support our packaging and converting customers in reaching their goals.’

Michael Mosley, AIC president, added: ‘We have built an organization with relentless customer focus; the expansive infrastructure that Flint Group provides will strengthen that focus through extended people and innovation resources. Any transition will remain seamless with our focus firmly placed on providing improved products and services to our customers.’

For Antoine Fady, Flint Group CEO, the investment leaves Flint Group ‘very well positioned’.

‘We are very excited by the potential of this partnership,’ said Fady. ‘The investment in AIC leaves Flint Group very well positioned to support the dynamic growth witnessed in the global packaging market and aligns us even closer to customers situated in the important North American packaging and converting market.’
