Herma rides into town

A team from Herma UK has completed its charity bike ride to Labelexpo Europe 2013, and raised more than £35,000 for good causes in the process.

The seven-man team, lead by Herma UK managing director Colin Phillips, completed the 300-plus mile journey in four and a half days.

'It all went to plan,' said Phillips. 'The weather was kind to us on the most part, and it was a straight forward journey on this side of the channel, which came after the hilly terrain between Newbury and Dover.'

A number of label industry peers and partners sponsored Herma UK, with their logos adorning the jerseys worn during the journey and decorating a support vehicle for the team.

Amongst those to back the charity cycle ride were AB Graphic, Bar Graphic Machinery, Edale, Alphasonics, HP, IST Metz, Gallus, GEW, MPS, Novamelt, Pulse Roll Label Products and many more, plus various associations, including the BPIF and EFIA.

The 35,000 GBP raised so far is to be shared amongst a number of charities. Donations can still be made via the team's online fundraising page.
