ICC makes call for color management research funding proposals

The Association for Suppliers of Printing, Publishing and Converting Technologies, serving as secretariat to the International Color Consortium (ICC), has opened the application process is for color management research funding proposals.

The ICC grant may be used for subsistence, travel or purchasing research related items, such as equipment, software licenses or publications

Each year, ICC awards funds for original research that serves to further the organization's goal of creating, promoting and encouraging the standardization and evolution of an open, vendor-neutral, cross-platform color management system architecture and components.

The grant may be used for subsistence, travel or purchasing research related items, such as equipment, software licenses or publications.

The submission deadline is April 15. Each entry will be judged on its quality and degree to which it meets the award criteria, together with the funds available and current ICC priorities. The recipients, along with details about the awards will be announced by June 30 on the ICC website. Additionally, outputs of the research will be published online.
