MGI JETvarnish 3D honored in DuPont Awards for Packaging Innovation

The technology achieves 2D, 3D and variable foil embossing on cartons and labels on a single line, allowing printers, converters and finishers to produce special effects with variable data personalization and customized short runs faster and at a lower cost than other printing technologies, according to MGI.

Additionally, MGI has created a unique hologram-based digital finishing security process. These variable data holograms are both decorative and functional as secure, anti-counterfeiting authentication imprints.

The MGI JETvarnish 3D digital print decoration process for folding cartons and labels entry was submitted by MGI on behalf of Marrs Printing & Packaging.
