Royston Labels turns art into labels

Royston Labels has converted artwork created by Devon-based artist David A Smith in to a new label for ethical soap brand Ecosoapia.

The designer label is a completely new-look for Ecosoapia

The designer label for the ethical soap brand features fine details, which Royston Labels said ‘pushes the boundaries of conventional label manufacture’. To complement the fine detail of the design, Royston Labels incorporated cold foiling, which when combined with the latest flexo printing plate technology, ensured the project was completed without complication and with impressive results, as Royston Labels technical manager Phil Bradnam explained: ‘The final appearance of the label is spectacular; soft subtle pastel tones with an in-keeping foil shade, complemented by a smooth satin-type finish.’

The designer label is a completely new-look for Ecosoapia and reflects the company’s ethical values and traditional roots. David A Smith was selected to create the design in part due to his shared principles with Ecosoapia, lending further credibility to the brand’s new look.

Ecosoapia’s Steve Chasen said: ‘The challenge for us was to take David A Smith’s intricate design and realize it on a flat label. It was vital that the label truly replicated the stunning artwork and Royston Labels has delivered on all counts.’
