Dantex unveils AI operator support system

Dantex Group will unveil PAL, Pico Adaptive Logic, at Loupe Americas 2026 in Chicago at booth 6415, describing the natural-language AI operator support system as an industry first for the UV inkjet label press sector. Visitors can experience the technology ahead of its official launch in early 2027, when all new Pico presses will come standard with PAL.

PAL is integrated into the PicoPilot and PicoCenta interfaces and appears as an animated globe that responds in a natural voice, enabling operators to ask questions, understand press functions, achieve specific production results and address maintenance issues using everyday language without memorizing commands or interrupting workflows. The system also monitors press information and proactively assists if it identifies a fault or emerging issue during production.

Dantex developed PAL in collaboration with 42 Technology, a Cambridge, UK-based product design and innovation consultancy, combining Dantex's press and converter knowledge with 42T's expertise in applying AI to complex industrial challenges. The technology will form part of the PicoCare service and support offering and will continue to evolve as Dantex expands its knowledge base and applies field learnings, with customer data protection central to its development.

Alongside PAL, Dantex will showcase the PicoJet 1200 DRS and PicoColour 254 digital inkjet presses, alongside the GM DC350 hybrid finishing system that transforms the PicoColour 254 from a roll-to-roll system into a complete roll-to-hybrid production platform with integrated in-line finishing.
