CJK Group has acquired Viking Label & Packaging, a manufacturer based in Nisswa, Minnesota. Viking will continue to operate under the Viking Label & Packaging name as a standalone CJK Group company, led by its existing management team.

Founded in 1965, Viking Label & Packaging has served its customers for more than 60 years, producing custom pressure-sensitive labels and inserts, with capabilities that include RFID inlay insertion and encoding, variable data and QR codes, multi-panel booklets, embossing, cold foil, tamper-evident and outdoor-durable labels.

'Viking has built an outstanding reputation for quality, responsiveness and partnership with its customers,' said Chris Kurtzman, CEO of CJK Group. 'This acquisition extends our portfolio into label and packaging manufacturing, a natural complement to the print and production expertise across CJK Group. Viking’s strength is its people, and we're committed to supporting the team as they continue to grow the business under the Viking name.'

'Joining CJK Group gives Viking a long-term partner with the resources to help us invest in our people, equipment and capabilities,' said Kim Larson, president of Viking Label & Packaging. 'Our customers will continue to work with the same team they’ve come to know and trust, and we're excited about what this next chapter makes possible.'

Viking customers will continue to work with their existing Viking sales and customer service contacts, and day-to-day operations continue without interruption. CJK Group will support Viking with shared services in areas such as HR, IT and finance.
