Datacolor acquires Techkon USA

Datacolor has acquired Techkon USA, with the deal officially completed in early July 2025.

George Adam, president at Techkon USA, will continue to lead the company in the sales, marketing and engineering departments, now with the support of Datacolor's resources and global reach.

The acquisition follows Datacolor's recent purchase of Techkon GmbH and represents an alignment of vision, innovation and commitment to the package printing industry. Techkon USA is now united with Techkon GmbH under the Datacolor umbrella.

'Building on the recent acquisition of Techkon GmbH, this acquisition allows Datacolor to broaden its market reach and product offering with Techkon USA's ChromaQA software and in-line spectrometers to meet growing customer demands for integrated color management in the printing and packaging industry and beyond,' said Albert Busch, president and CEO of Datacolor.

Adam emphasized that the acquisition continues a mission that began years ago with Techkon GmbH and has been carried forward by Techkon USA.
