Durst adds jumbo roll handling capabilities to Tau 330

The system features motorized loading and unloading of heavy rolls with a built-in roll lifter, while a built-in splice table facilitates easy and fast roll changes, Durst said. The system is equipped with a servo drive to feed material in both directions.

Omnilabel in Dalfsen, The Netherlands, already operated a Tau 150 label printer and recently installed a Tau 330 with the jumbo roll feature.

‘The new Tau 330 allows us to develop our core competence even further towards high speed digital production,’ said Michiel Smudde, Omnilabel managing director. ‘In addition to the excellent print quality and speed of the Tau 330 press, the new jumbo roll unwinder/rewinder speed up production even more, facilitating uninterrupted print production of longer print runs with less roll changes.’
