Gallus adds Labelmaster Advanced

Gallus unveils the Labelmaster Advanced press line with multiweb feature at Labelexpo Europe 2017. The basic versions of this label printing press will also be on display.

The new Gallus Labelmaster features a special platform design and can be configured by customers to meet their own specific requirements

The Gallus Labelmaster Advanced’s modular design is said to combine flexibility with a high level of automation.

All Gallus Labelmaster presses share the same special platform design and can be configured to meet the specific requirements of each customer. In the platform system, the Gallus Labelmaster is made up of modules each comprising two printing units. These modules are available in three different variants. The basic variant covers all essential label printing standards, while Labelmaster Plus features enhanced flexibility to further applications. Labelmaster Advanced is said to meet ‘virtually any requirement’ and can be configured to include as much or as little automation as required.

The newly designed flexographic printing unit, which benefits from the construction principles established in sheet-fed offset at the parent company Heidelberg, is directly driven by two servo motors. The press can also be equipped with a newly developed screen printing unit that enables high-end finishing.

Further, the new Gallus Labelmaster machine platform has a short web path of 1.4m between printing units and a high maximum speed of 200m/min, thus making Labelmaster the fastest label printing press that Gallus has ever produced. The press can be controlled centrally via an HMI touch panel, although manual intervention is also supported. Lightweight aluminum printing cylinders have been developed to be changed in a few minutes. An optimized ink chamber for the doctor blade needs just 250g of ink.
