Magpowr adds load cell amplifiers

Maxcess has introduced three tension amplifiers though its Magpowr brand, with advanced networking capabilities.

DLCA Net, DLCA Net-Slim and DLCA Net-IP65 include built-in networking capabilities

They are DLCA Net, DLCA Net-Slim and DLCA Net-IP65, with DLCA Net-Slim suiting applications where panel space is crucial and the IP65 for applications where tension values can be converted to communications on the machine itself without going back to a control panel.

The new line of amplifiers include built-in networking capabilities and offer EtherNet/IP, Profinet, Modbus TCP, an embedded web server and EtherCAT for the first time in a tension amplifier, according to Chris Harper, global product manager, Magpowr Tension Control.

‘This family of amplifiers and its included features allow for fast and easy integration into machine control networks and adds high performance and enhanced reliability to web tension measurement.’

The new line of amplifiers transmit calibrated tension values from one or two tension zones over dual port communications and offers EDS file AOP, DLR Ring, PTP time stamping, alarms and an embedded web server for set-up and calibration.

Maxcess CEO Greg Jehlik said: ‘Maxcess has always been at the forefront of technological advancements for web handling applications, and the release of the DLCA Net family of amplifiers is no exception.

‘We will be leveraging these advanced networking capabilities through future product offerings across our storied brands under the Maxcess umbrella.’
