PrimeBlade adds 700 series doctor blades

PrimeBlade Sweden has developed the 700 series of ceramic coated doctor blades that combine its surface grinding and special surface treatment technology to improve the coating adhesive bond and wear resistance compared to existing coated products.

700 series doctor blades will be presented on the PrimeBlade Sweden stand (C23) in hall 12 at drupa 2016

The high grade steel together with the special ceramic particle surface coating technology gives a very low doctor blade tip contact friction, it is claimed, as well as an enhanced product lifetime and wipe clean characteristics. It further reduces the brittleness and cracking risk in the ceramic coating area, and lessens the risk of blade damage due to mechanical impact. Due to the refined steel and extra fine ceramic particles used, ink contamination that causes higher wear on chrome cylinders is reduced.
