Techkon USA releases ChromaQA 6.5 software with AI enhancements
The latest version includes anilox compensation and GMG OpenColor integration features.

Techkon USA has released ChromaQA 6.5, the latest version of its color quality software suite that includes enhanced AI-powered ink toning capabilities, GMG OpenColor compatibility and the ability to export TVI correction curves after color measurement.
The update to Techkon’s award-winning software adds anilox compensation to the SmartInk AI-powered ink toning engine, allowing users to apply a single colorant set across multiple anilox rolls rather than generating separate sets for each combination of ink set, substrate type and anilox roll.
The software can now import colors directly from GMG OpenColor projects via server connection, which reduces setup time for creating color books and libraries and establishing new job templates in ChromaQA.
'These major new features, and several other smaller tweaks and fixes, amount to a noticeably smoother workflow and user experience, and help save time and money, so that color measurement and management becomes a seamless and frictionless process for printers and their customers everywhere,' said Stephen Rankin, product development manager at Techkon USA.
ChromaQA 6.5 also enables users to export TVI correction curves for platesetters directly from the software, supporting ISO, Esko, Kodak, Agfa and HP Indigo formats based on measurements from current jobs.
