Flenex FW is a photopolymer plate containing a special rubber-based compound that is not oxygen sensitive, minimizing the effect oxygen has on the dot shape. As a result, the company claims that Flenex reduces dot gain and ensures better ink transfer for cleaner and brighter print results. The plate is also said to deliver longer runs for label converters, while producing 200 lpi at 4,400 dpi, 1 percent flat top process dot structure.

According to Fujifilm, Flenex FW reduces platemaking processing times to less than 40 minutes and eliminates the expense of higher-cost solvent and thermal processors, as well as potential upcharges on associated consumables.

Compatible with the leading flexo platesetters and water-wash processors, the plate has been introduced in the US and Europe markets.

According to a Labels & Labeling report earlier this year, Fujifilm India Graphic Arts division aims to introduce more new products in the Indian market and touch a turnover between Rs 400 crore (about 60.5 million USD) to Rs 500 crore (about 75.5 million USD) in the next three years.
