MacDermid confirms double promotion
MacDermid Printing Solutions has promoted Timothy Gotsick and Ryan Vest to the posts of vice-president and general manager, and director of innovation for packaging flexo respectively.

Both promotions were effective November 1, 2013.
Gotsick joined MacDermid in 2003 as director of global innovation, and led the development of the LUX platemaking process. In 2011 Gotsick was promoted to vice-president of technology.
In his new role, Gotsick is responsible for P&L for the business worldwide, including oversight of sales, marketing, manufacturing, innovation and day-to-day operations.
Scot Benson, group president at MacDermid, said: ‘Timothy has proven himself as a tremendously valuable manager in research and development, and in leading the development of our successful LUX product line. His drive to succeed and passion for the business make him a natural choice to lead MacDermid Printing Solutions.’
Vest joined MacDermid in 1998 as a research scientist and has been progressively promoted to roles of increasing responsibility. During his 16 years at MacDermid, Vest has patented more than a dozen innovations and has been key in the development of technologies such as LAVA thermal plate processing and LUX plate processing.
Gotsick said: ‘Ryan's experience with all our product lines and core technologies makes him well suited to continue the successful product line improvements that we have seen in the last several years. Ryan's creativity and project management skills are a unique combination that will allow MPS to continuously create innovative new products for the flexographic printing industry.’
