AWA webinar tackles trade disruption
Free June session covers Chinese imports and Middle East market impact.
AWA Alexander Watson Associates is hosting a free virtual seminar on June 4 at 15:00 CET, examining how low-cost Chinese imports and the Middle East conflict are reshaping the labeling and packaging market across North America and Europe.
Drawing on AWA's latest market intelligence, cost indices and its AWAreness Global Influx report, the program covers energy and raw material cost pressures, evolving trade patterns and the competitive implications for pressure-sensitive label and release liner markets.
Four sessions make up the program. Catalina Steenbakkers Galindo, team lead for market intelligence and business insights at AWA, opens with a data-led assessment of how the Middle East conflict is affecting energy, chemicals and labeling and packaging material costs, including insights from the AWA Cost Index. Akansha Meena, global brands editor at Labels and Labeling, speaks on industry perspectives on managing cost and supply chain disruption. Alfredo Gasca, consultant for market intelligence and business insights at AWA, presents an analysis from the AWAreness Global Influx report on the impact of overseas imports on North American and European markets. The final session covers pressure-sensitive and release liner trade and the impact of Chinese imports, presented by Wilco Van Zwieten, CEO of Panoval Asia.
The seminar is free to attend and open to brand owners, converters, material suppliers and technology providers. Registration is available via AWA's website.
