WPO to host WorldStar Awards and board meeting at Interpack

The World Packaging Organisation will host its 115th Board Meeting, a series of working group sessions and the WorldStar Award Ceremony 2026 at Interpack in Düsseldorf, Germany.

The week begins on May 6 with an executive meeting for WPO executives and ambassadors, followed on May 7 by parallel working group sessions covering sustainability, food saving, marketing, governance and education. The WorldStar Award Ceremony takes place on the evening of May 8, celebrating outstanding packaging innovations across design, functionality, sustainability and technological advancement. The 115th Board Meeting, led by WPO president Luciana Pellegrino, takes place on May 9, bringing together representatives from 54 member organizations across 38 countries to discuss strategic priorities, including partnerships and member engagement.

'Our goal is to increasingly position WPO as the global voice for packaging, while ensuring that our members feel truly part of this journey,' said Pellegrino. 'A significant share of my efforts as president is dedicated to supporting WPO's growth through governance, strengthening partnerships worldwide and fostering greater interaction among packaging professionals around the world.'

WPO will also participate in the Women in Packaging Forum on May 11 and the Save Food Forum on May 12.
