Weldon Celloplast to sell Nikka inspection tech

Weldon Celloplast is to offer Nikka Research automation, inspection and measurement solutions in India, Sri Lanka, Nepal and Bangladesh.
 
Nikka Research is a German-based affiliate of Japan’s Nikka Ltd, and specializes in providing high-tech automation, inspection and measurement solutions for the labels and packaging printing industries. Its tools are used for measuring, controlling and documenting production quality. The product line includes PDF proof-reading solutions for pre-press, 100 percent inspection on-press and on rewinders, workflow systems, variable data inspection, process automation and data collection.
 
The agreement between Nikka Research and Weldon Celloplast will see the Indian company, which already lists Omet and Delta Industrial printing and converting machinery, Label Traxx software and Flexo Concepts cleaning systems amongst its offering, market the German firm’s product line to printers in India, Nepal, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka.
 
Weldon Celloplast was established in 1982 by managing director Harveer Singh Sahni, and now represents a range of international names in consumables, materials and equipment. Pawandeep Sahni (pictured, top), director at Weldon Celloplast, said: ‘With consumer needs getting to be very exacting, Nikka’s offering stand to empower them with capabilities to achieve perfection. We are happy to be a Nikka associate.’
 
Ivan Bonev, chief executive officer of Nikka Research, added: ‘In the last years we have seen impressive production capacity growth in the region. Printers have achieved remarkable technical capabilities and are now turning attention to produce repeatable and objectively controlled quality.
