Durst has promoted Richard Thomas to the new role of director of its North American digital business initiative for labels and package printing.

The promotion of Thomas, formerly business development manager for label and specialty packaging at Durst Image Technology US, follows Durst and Omet forming a strategic partnership in North America that allows Omet exclusive access for sales of the Durst Tau product line.

Thomas’ professional experience includes 15 years HP Indigo and serving as regional director of sales and marketing at Canada-based printer Imprimerie Ste-Julie. The company offers customized printing services of self-adhesive labels and stickers using flexography and digital printing.
