Brand Innovation Summit a success at Labelexpo India
HP Indigo and Labelexpo co-hosted a session for brands on the show floor during the second day of Labelexpo India 2014.
It was attended by some prominent brands including Dabur, Coca Cola, Siemens, Morepen, GSK, Reckitt Benckiser, ITC, Nestle, Cipla, ACG Pharma, Om Biotech, amongst others.
Aakriti Agarwal, Indian editor, Labels & Labeling presented a brief overview of the Indian FMCG market. Andy Thomas, global editor of Labels & Labeling magazine, shared interesting facts and figures from an extensive market research from the Graphic Communications Institute at Cal Poly (California Polytechnic State University).
Christian Menegon, business development manager at HP Indigo, took over and spoke about successful case studies from across the world. He cited examples of successful digital printing experiences of brands in various segments including food, pharma and cosmetics. One of the most successful example he cited was that of Coca-Cola marketing departments in Europe supplying bottles with most popular local names, together with a range of slogans based around sharing Coca-Cola with friends and family.
It was followed by a panel discussion on various challenges faced by brands and solutions for getting the branding right each time. The esteemed panellists included Hitesh Shenoy, head technical packaging, ISC, China and AP, GlaxoSmithKline Consumer Healthcare; Biswajit Basu, head of packaging development, Reckitt Benckiser, health and personal care; Deepak Manchanda, associate director of business development at Firstouch Solutions; and Christian Menegon of HP Indigo.
