Xeikon reports Labelexpo success
Digital printing specialist Xeikon saw visitor numbers to its stand at last month’s Labelexpo Europe 2011 grow 50 percent as sales closed during the show also increased.
For the first time, Labelexpo, the pre-eminent tradeshow for label printing and converting, featured a dedicated Package Printing Zone. The zone played host to a number of presentations focused on technologies and issues surrounding the market for package printing, with Xeikon presenting 11 times over the course of the show, as well as having a 3050 digital press running on the Package Printing Zone stand.
Xeikon’s presentations, delivered by Frank Jacobs (pictured, above and below), product manager, marketing and sales, covered a variety of applications including folding carton, heat transfer labels, wet glue labels and promotional materials.
This went hand-in-hand with the growth in interest on its stand, with Filip Weymans, marketing and business development manager for labels and packaging at Xeikon, saying: ‘We ended up having 50 percent more visitors to our booth compared to last year and they all came with lots of questions. The show was the perfect opportunity for them to sit down with the Xeikon team and discuss their current visions, and to see how we could work together to achieve them. The sales closed at the show also drastically increased.’
Wim Maes, Xeikon CEO, added: ‘The success at Labelexpo 2011 confirms the choices we have made as a company were the right ones, and will allow us to grow further in this market.’
