Flexible Packaging Association unveils FlexForward conference program

The November event in New Orleans focuses on sustainability and innovation.

The Flexible Packaging Association has announced its complete program for the 2025 FlexForward conference, taking place in November in New Orleans, Louisiana, where industry leaders will discuss sustainability, innovation, workforce leadership and advocacy shaping the sector's future.

The event marks the debut of FlexImpact, FPA's new community initiative aimed at showcasing members' efforts in environmental stewardship. Conference highlights include a litter cleanup event on November 4, sponsored by the Flexible Film Recycling Alliance. This event targets flexible packaging and aligns with nationwide cleanups organized by FPA member companies.

'The FlexForward conference is where the industry comes together to chart its future,' Dan Felton, president and CEO of the Flexible Packaging Association, commented. 'From advancing recycling approaches to harnessing new technologies, this year's program demonstrates how flexible packaging continues to deliver innovation, sustainability and economic impact for brands and consumers alike.'

Sessions will cover California's flexible packaging recovery, fiber-based packaging transitions and findings from new FPA consumer research on flexible packaging and film recycling. Additional topics include artificial intelligence in packaging with experts from TOPPAN, Reifenhauser and the Alliance to End Plastic Waste, digital printing trends, and global market insights on polyolefins and extended producer responsibility.

The program features a fireside chat with brand leaders from General Mills, Procter & Gamble and Estée Lauder, while networking opportunities include the FPA welcome reception at the Sazerac House on 4 November, exhibit receptions, committee meetings and sponsor showcases.
