Comexi Group opens permanent R&D center

Flexible packaging machinery specialist Comexi Group has opened a 550 sq m facility dedicated to the research and development of new products.

The research center will carry out preliminary testing of its own prototypes and validation tasks, as well as investigations of equipment to be incorporated into Comexi products, such as Comexi Flexo, Comexi Acom, Comexi Offset, Comexi Nexus, Comexi Proslit and Comexi Enviroxi.

The Comexi Group Research Center will also be used for collaborative research between the company and its clients, partners and co-suppliers.

Equipment at the facility includes a flexographic printing system, a multi-trolley laminator and a slitting and rewinding machine. A gas chromatograph will be used to control solvent retention and a digital dynamometer to control bond strength.
