Comexi reports India and Russia success

Comexi Group reported positive reaction to its products from both the Russian and Indian flexible packaging markets after attending Plastindia and Upakovka.

At Plastindia, Comexi said its stand was extremely busy, with visits from 50-plus suppliers and more than 200 customers, resulting in interest for at least 12 projects each for flexo and laminating equipment along with another five projects for slitting.

The most successful machines in the Indian market were the Indiflex press and the Flexo F4 press, although there was a great deal of interest in slitting and laminating machines as well, Comexi added.

In addition, Pelican, a local Indian machinery supplier, installed a solventless laminating machine in its booth, manufactured in India under Comexi Group’s license. It was very successful and Pelican has already sold 15 machines, with a full order book in the coming months.

At Upakovka, Comexi said its Flexo F2 press was the headline machine on show at the Moscow packaging show.

Comexi Group also provided information to the Russian market on all of the equipment in its product range during the fair, including machinery for flexible packaging, machinery for offset and gravure printing, laminating, slitting and rewinding and environmental management solutions.

Comexi said it was ‘happy with the more than 80 attendees who visited its stand, some of them already users of machinery from Comexi and interested in the new press Flexo F2 and others interested in the complete product range’. Comexi reportedly received numerous good leads for projects from visitors at Upakovka.

‘The Russian market has become a main market for Comexi Group in recent years and it has had several installations completed recently in Russian companies. We expect further progress in this direction in the future,’ Comexi said in a statement.
