Early adopters continue promotion of Highcon
Highcon Euclid gains further exposure to packaging market at London event

Glossop Cartons has used its presence at Packaging Innovations in London to promote its position as an early adopter of the Highcon Euclid digital cutting and creasing system for folding carton production.
Glossop Cartons was the first company named as an early adopter of the Euclid system, and made its show debut at the Packaging Innovations earlier this year.
It was joined by Belgium’s Antilope, who has also been working hard to promote its investment in the new digital finishing technology. This has seen Antilope win a 2013 Pro Carton/ECMA Award and host an open day event, which coincided with Labelexpo Europe 2013 where Highcon was exhibiting as a partner of HP Indigo.
In this context, HP Indigo, Highcon and image enhancement specialist Scodix teamed up to show end-to-end production of cartons using a fully digital workflow.
At the London leg of Packaging Innovations, Glossop Cartons showed a number of designs and products that can be created using the Highcon Euclid, and also showed off its recently awarded Marketing Campaign of the Year prize from the Derbyshire's Best Business Awards 2013. The company has now been shortlisted in the SME Company of the Year category at the PrintWeek awards.
The carton types on show included small boxes with intricate patterns, including a Halloween-type spider web design, and a Christmas advent calendar, featuring festive details cut into each window.
Jacky Sidebottom (pictured, top promoting Glossop Cartons at Packaging Innovations London), a director at Glossop Cartons, said: ‘We are a small company that has just started to make itself known, so to have won an award this early in the process is a fantastic achievement.’
