Impact Labelling installs second Screen press
Irish label producer adds Truepress Label SAI S to cut turnaround times further.
Impact Labelling has installed a second Screen inkjet digital label press at its Limerick facility, expanding production capacity to meet growing demand across its food and drink, pharmaceutical and industrial customer base.
The new Truepress Label SAI S runs a six-color CMYKWO configuration at up to 60 meters per minute and joins the company's existing Truepress Label 350UV SAI LM, a low-migration press compliant with EuPIA, Swiss Ordinance and Nestlé regulations. The addition broadens Impact Labelling's substrate range and embellishment options while reinforcing its position as the fastest turnaround label producer in Ireland, with an average lead time currently under four days.
'As a company dedicated to exceeding customer expectations, we needed a press that would deliver reliable performance at scale,' said Evan Fox, managing director of Impact Labelling. 'The Truepress Label SAI S checked every box, providing exceptional quality, efficiency and the ability to expand our embellishment options to offer even more value to our customers.'
Since installing its first Screen press 4.5 years ago, Impact Labelling has maintained uptime exceeding 90 percent, recording only five days of downtime due to breakdowns. Local support is provided by Litho Supplies, Screen Europe's distributor in Ireland, with engineers available remotely within minutes and on-site within two hours.
'It's important to find the right machinery for success in the label printing sector, but also the right partners,' noted Richard Styles, managing director of Litho Supplies. 'Impact Labelling needs mutual trust with clients and a reputation for reliability, two things they've already come to expect from Screen.'
Fox added that color consistency across repeat orders, regardless of when a job is printed, has been a key commercial differentiator and one the company expects to extend further with the new press in operation.
