Interket’s Derek Maskell retires after 40 years of service

Maskell joined the Whaley Bridge site in 1979 under its former identity Stampiton. Now part of the Interket Group, the Derbyshire site serves a wide range of sectors including manufacturing, security, logistics, chemicals, dairy, food, beverage and horticulture.

‘I have witnessed many changes over four decades in the label industry. Not one for keeping still, my next challenge will be to fill my time in my retirement. However, I am sure my family will help with that,’ commented Derek Maskell.

‘Derek will be sorely missed by everyone at Interket, a true gent and popular character,’ said Tim Pattison, UK sales and operations director Tim Pattison. ‘He has been a pivotal figure in the historical growth and expansion of the business, having been the “Commander” and “Chief of Sales” for many years his extensive knowledge and expertise has built the longstanding relationships we cherish today with our loyal customers. In excess of 40 years in one industry let alone the same business is a true testament to Derek’s dedication and effervescent personality. We all wish him a very happy retirement,’ concluded Pattison.
