Minneapolis converter finds growth with Colordyne Production Class series

Frank Bobick, marketing and business development manager at PLS, said ‘Imagine someone has 10 different items, all with four-color process artwork, and they only want a few hundred of each. If we gave them a price for that job using traditional flexographic printing, their jaws would hit the floor. This is the kind of work we wouldn’t even bother to quote before having the Colordyne press.’

Colordyne’s Production Class Rotary Pro has a print resolution of 1600 x 1375 dpi driven by Memjet printhead technology running at speeds up to 335 feet per minute (102 m/min).The full-featured digital label and tag production system offers complete in-line printing, laminating, varnishing, rotary die-cutting and rewinding.

Bobick said, ‘It has been a smart business decision to embrace digital printing, and our bottom line reflects that.’
