Primera to showcase technology for wine labels

The FX400e Foil Imprinter is an optional accessory to Primera’s LX color Label printers, and applies shiny gold and silver borders, fonts and other graphics to inkjet- or laser-printed labels.

Wine labels benefit from shiny metallic borders and graphics as labels then convey luxury and elegance, Primera said, and therefore emphasize the quality and value of each product.

Other colors such as red, blue, green and yellow as well as clear film are available. When printed onto inkjet-printed labels, the clear film not only adds a professional, glossy finish but also makes labels virtually waterproof. Additionally, the clear film adds UV resistance to printed output, allowing longer exposure to natural and artificial light sources.

London Wine Fair is held on June 2-4 at ExCeL, London.

Primera will also use the London Wine Fair to test launch its Touch’n’Print offering – a new all-in-one print solution that makes it easy to design and print labels in three steps: select a pre-designed label layout, choose or type in additional content, press print.

All three steps are carried out on the included all-in-one touchscreen shuttle PC, with no keyboard or mouse necessary.
