Avery Dennison Foundation, the philanthropic arm of Avery Dennison Corporation, has named the winners of the 9th edition of its annual scholarship program Spirit of Invention

Each year, the Avery Dennison Foundation, in association with the Institute of International Education (IIE), honors 10-15 Indian students belonging to five premier institutes with a scholarship to encourage and support leadership and innovation development amongst them. These students also get an opportunity to participate in a special workshop on invention and innovation conducted by the Avery Dennison Foundation.

‘As a responsible brand, we are committed to foster the development of talent, nurture creativity and inspire young students to engage in the spirit of invention,’ said Alicia Procello, president of Avery Dennison Foundation. ‘We also take great pride in creating an inclusive and supportive platform for students to encourage innovation and pursue their dreams. We congratulate the winners for demonstrating a high level of innovation and will continue to expand our support and make a difference to the communities that we live in”

Saurabh Agarwal, senior director and general manager of LPM South Asia at Avery Dennison, added: ‘It is heartening to see that Avery Dennison is continuing this initiative year on year and providing an opportunity for bright young students to widen their horizons and pursue their passion. I applaud the scholarship winners and wish them the best for their educational pursuits. Through this initiative, we will continue to actively support leadership and innovation development among students.’

Started in India in 2012, the winners under the Avery Dennison Foundation Spirit of Invention (InvEnt) scholarship program are selected through a merit-based, rigorous three-stage selection process. It is the ninth edition of the awards, and a total of 95 scholarships to date, have been given.
