Sihl Picofilm facestock further certified to BS 5609

BS 5609 is the internationally recognized regulation concerning the labeling of dangerous goods to be transported by sea. BS 5609 certified labels must withstand three months in seawater without the label becoming illegible or unstuck. To ensure this, both the label material and adhesive are thoroughly tested. Regardless of exposure to saltwater, fluctuating temperatures or UV light, labels are not to become unstuck from the drums nor are they allowed to become illegible.

Picofilm O-60 white XM1 is now certified to BS 5609 for six types of printer, including Epson, Primera, AstroNova, Swift and Afinia.
