The machine will provide even more embellishment capabilities to client label projects.

CS Labels is making ‘major improvements’ to its finishing capabilities, as well as augmenting and upgrading its existing technology to enable the company to make further advances in the flexible packaging market. The GM machine is part of this six-figure investment, as is a bespoke upgrade to its Xeikon 3300 Ice digital press to enable wider media at a lower fusing temperature, as the company branches out further into the pouches and soon-to-be officially launched carton sectors.

Its third Xeikon CX3 digital press has arrived for installation on the shop floor, which will enable CS Labels to print more square meterage per hour in order to fulfil ever increasing demand as well as further improve efficiency. Additionally the company has boosted its sales capacity with the recruitment of three internal sales support staff, as reported here.

CS  Labels is aiming for a target turnover of  five million GBP (6.4 million USD) and beyond, and this investment will support that as its continues to fulfill ever-growing demand for digital labels and stand-up pouches.

CS Labels managing director Simon Smith commented: ‘As always we like to push the boundaries to stay on top of our game. Anything we do is never without challenge and I am proud of the team around me who work tirelessly so we can continue to delight our customers.’
